“NSS Scandal: Bribes Offered for Employment & Internal Security at Risk”

Internal security has been effectively maintained by the NSS through the implementation of various operational measures. Unfortunately, one of the NSS employees abused their special powers by offering bribes to individuals in exchange for employment in the NSS. This unethical behavior involved giving three individuals 150,000 drams each, while the fourth received 100,000 drams. Shockingly, all four individuals accepted the bribes and went through the process of signing employment contracts.

However, due to medical reasons, the fourth person was unable to proceed with the employment and the 100,000 drams bribe they received was returned. To address this issue, the temporary employment powers granted to the two NSS employees responsible for the bribes have been terminated. Additionally, all relevant documents related to the employment offers have been forwarded to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and proceedings.

As part of the investigation into these criminal offenses, the interdepartmental commission of the Republic of Armenia has been actively involved. This commission is dedicated to uncovering any wrongdoing and ensuring justice is served. The ongoing investigation focuses on both the operational activities within the NSS and the specific criminal case related to the bribery incident.

The leadership of internal affairs is fully committed to identifying and addressing any deviations from established standards in the field. They are determined to take stringent disciplinary action against those responsible, in order to maintain the integrity and professionalism of the NSS. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of upholding ethics and integrity within our security institutions.
