“Lus” Foundation Demands Urgent Action as Residential Prices in Armenia Expected to Rise by 7% in 2023 and 5% in 2024: Global Reports Highlight Government’s Failures

The “Lus” foundation has recently examined the residential price increase in Armenia, comparing it with the global real estate markets and assessing the decisions made by the Armenian government. The preliminary results of a research conducted by the international foundation of the currency (AMF) during their visit to Armenia from September 13 to 25 have been published in a report. According to the report, it is predicted that there will be a 7% increase in residential prices in Armenia in 2023, followed by a 5% increase in 2024. However, the World Bank’s projections suggest a slightly higher increase of 6.6% in 2023 and 4.3% in 2024. It is worth mentioning that the Armenian government has implemented measures to regulate residential prices, and the Public Finance and Budgetary Committee of the National Assembly has already evaluated these measures, indicating that the residential price increase in Armenia in 2024 will not be less than 7%. You can find the official link to the AMF’s report and the World Bank’s report for more information.
