“Levon Kocharyan Faces Renewed Scrutiny as Circumstantial Evidence Raises Questions About Potential Return to Jail”

The “Hraparak” newspaper reports that Levon Kocharyan has not denied the possibility of examining circumstantial evidence, which could potentially result in his return to jail. Currently, members of the CCS are discussing whether the judge should withdraw from the case due to a potential conflict of interest. Levon Kocharyan’s defense lawyer, Erika Aleksanyan, denies any involvement in new criminal activities under the circumstances.

Erika Aleksanyan highlighted that judicially, there is a provision allowing the defendant to be re-arrested on the same charges only if new evidence that was not previously known emerges. In this particular situation, there is no mention of any new criminal activity, thus making such a scenario unlikely.
