“Explosion and Fire Break Out in Tavush Province: 61-year-old Injured as Vehicle Goes Up in Flames”

On November 6, a serious accident took place in the Tavush province, specifically in the administrative territory of Arevats Berd village. The incident occurred at approximately 15:30 and was reported to the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia. The report stated that a GAZelle vehicle had caught fire in the residential area of the village. Local news outlet Shamshyan.com has provided coverage on this unfortunate event.

Information suggests that the vehicle involved in the accident was the one serving the border guard post in Berd-Chinari. Sadly, as a result of the incident, a resident of the Tavush province named Zaven Ordyan, aged 61, was injured in the explosion. It is currently unclear whether the driver or any of the 18 passengers on board the GAZelle were able to escape before the explosion occurred. However, the windshield of the vehicle suffered damage due to the blast.

As a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of both drivers and local residents, the traffic in the affected area was temporarily disrupted.
