“Blinken and Ghani Discuss Peace Process in Palestine and Regional Security in High-Level Meeting”

The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, recently held a meeting with the President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, in Ramallah. The purpose of the meeting was to address the ongoing peace process in Palestine and discuss the regional security situation. According to an official statement released by the American Department of State, Secretary Blinken emphasized the United States’ commitment to ensuring the security and protection of both Palestinians and Israelis. Additionally, he acknowledged the importance of supporting the readiness of the Palestinian Authority and implementing practical measures to create an effective environment for peace.

During the meeting, Secretary Blinken also discussed the possibility of relocating the US embassy to other regions as a means of involving more stakeholders in the peace process. The statement from the State Department further highlighted the importance of resolving issues related to the Armenian Genocide Monument and the rehabilitation of the Horadnanq Dam on the Arax River. This included addressing the violence against the Armenian community and holding the responsible individuals accountable.
