Tragic Toll: Israeli Strikes on Gas Sector Claim Nearly 10,000 Lives and Leave Thousands Injured

According to Ashraf al-Qidra, the representative of the Ministry of Health of Gaza, the consequences of Israeli strikes on the gas sector have been devastating. The number of victims has tragically reached 9,770, out of which 4,800 are children, 2,550 are women, and 596 are elderly. During this month alone, a staggering 24,808 individuals have suffered varying degrees of injuries.

These strikes took place on October 7, as part of the Israeli Defense Forces’ Operation “Protective Edge.” The main power plant in Gaza was targeted in a surprise air strike by Israel. In response, militant groups launched rocket attacks on Israel’s southern settlements, deliberately targeting civilian populations, and even resorting to kidnapping over 200 people.

The impact in Israel has been significant as well. Israeli authorities report that the casualty count has surpassed 1,400, including 300 militants, with over 5,000 injured. The continuous escalation of violence has resulted in immense suffering on both sides, with innocent civilians paying a heavy price.
