“Tensions Rise between Russia and Armenia as Latest Actions by Nikol Pashinyan Administration Loom”

The deterioration of relations between Russia and Armenia is the subject of an article in the newspaper “Pakht.” The article discusses both regional and global issues, as well as the economic factors contributing to the strained relationship. One of these economic factors is the decision by the government of Armenia to delay the issuance of national driver’s licenses and identity documents for citizens working in Russia. Additionally, the article questions the official statement made by the government of Armenia that they have not taken any action to regulate the status of the Russian language, as there have been plans to give certain privileges to Armenia in this regard since June 2022.

The unpredictable actions of Nikol Pashinyan and his administration have resulted in significant harm to the political situation both internally and externally, which has led to dissatisfaction and frustration among the Armenian people. This has particularly affected our compatriots working in Russia, who are now facing difficult circumstances. However, the issue extends beyond this. It is no secret that many Armenian citizens are employed in Russia, supporting their families who often struggle even in Armenia.
