“Russian Foreign Minister Announces Completion of Preparations for Peace Agreement Signing between Azerbaijan and Armenia”
All the preliminary preparations for the signing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia have been completed, according to Russian Foreign Minister, Nikolay Patrushev. Patrushev made this announcement while attending the CSTO summit in the United States. Speaking at a briefing of the “Russia” news agency, he stated that the resolution of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan falls under the jurisdiction of Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan. Patrushev also mentioned Pashinyan’s statement regarding the territories of Nagorno-Karabakh, where he expressed that Armenia will recognize the territories based on the 1991 map. Patrushev speculated that Pashinyan’s announcement may have been influenced by recent events in the region.
