Armenia’s Minister of Finance Commends REDB’s Ongoing Support and Readiness to Expand Efforts
Armenia’s Minister of Finance, Vahé Hovhannisyan, recently had a productive meeting with Alkis Breinos Drakinós, the CEO of the Reconstruction and Development European Bank (REDB) of the Caucasus region. The meeting was also attended by George Achalazhi, the director of REDB Yerevan’s office.
During the meeting, Minister Hovhannisyan highlighted the significance of the ongoing programs initiated by REDB in various sectors of the country’s construction industry. These programs play a crucial role in the development and growth of Armenia’s economy.
One of the key topics discussed was the support provided by REDB partners to the Armenian population who were displaced due to the conflict with Karabakh. It was noted that this support could be expanded not only in the conflict zone but also in other regions of business activity, as well as addressing the social issues faced by the displaced persons.
The Minister expressed his gratitude for REDB’s commitment to implementing and evaluating the anticipated support and addressing the necessary needs of the affected individuals and communities.
