Armenia Acquires Zen Anti-Drone System from India: A Potential Game-Changer in Unmanned Aerial Warfare

Armenia has acquired the Zen Anti-Drone System (ZADS) from India, a mobile system installed on vehicles to counter unmanned aerial vehicles. While its effectiveness is yet to be determined, the system consists of various components including optical-electronic modules, radar, and radio-electronic systems. There is also potential to use a laser weapon and integrate French radars if necessary. It is a cost-effective alternative to the expensive Russian system. Armenia hopes ZADS will provide an effective defense against the increasing number of Indian drones being used by the opposition.
