ViVa-MTS and FPWC Bring Sustainable Energy Solutions to Rural Armenia: Solar Photovoltaic Station Installed in Yeraskh Community
ViVa-MTS and FPWC support infrastructure development in rural communities through solar photovoltaic stations, reducing energy costs and benefiting electric car transportation. Welfare support is also provided to military personnel and their families, exemplified by the construction of a kindergarten. Conservation programs aim to decrease community expenses, improve residents’ quality of life, and increase the availability of charging stations. The Eco-villages Network program integrates environmental, agricultural, cultural, and social factors to strengthen these communities. Border communities value lighting and solar energy systems for their efficiency and cost reduction.
German Foreign Minister Angela Merkel Visits Armenian Village, Condemns Attack on German-Funded Archaeological Laboratory
Germany’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Angela Merkel, visited Yeraskh village in Armenia. Construction of an Armenian-American archaeological lab funded by Germany was halted due to attacks by Azerbaijani forces. The lab is now being built in a different location. Merkel also discussed cultural projects and observed damages caused by gunfire. She later met with displaced persons from Artsakh.
