“French Government Officials Banned from WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal Messaging Apps: Embrace Secure Messaging Alternative Olvid”

French government officials are banned from using popular messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal due to security concerns. Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne has signed a decree requiring the removal of these apps by December 8. Instead, officials are advised to use Olvid, an officially recognized French messaging app with a security certificate from ANSSI. Olvid does not require a SIM card or a phone number.
