“Turkish Organized Crime Leader Varish Boyoyan Arrested in Italy: One of Homeland’s Most Wanted Criminals Apprehended Near Rome”

Turkish organized crime leader Varish Boyoyan, wanted for smuggling, murder, and weapons trafficking, has been arrested near Rome. Italian courts rejected his extradition request in 2023, but a personal plea from Turkey’s President to Italy’s Prime Minister might change that. In a wide-scale operation, 18 members of the crime group were arrested, with Boyoyan found at his residence in Viterbo.
