“Brussels Highlights Commitment to Promote Democracy in Armenia: EU, Armenia, and US Hold High-Level Meeting”

Brussels released a statement on the high-level meeting between the EU, Armenia, and the US to support Armenia’s democracy. There will be support for social-economic development, private sector growth, infrastructure improvement, and technological advancements. The peace process in Nagorno-Karabakh is also emphasized. The EU and US aim to assist Armenia in meeting the immediate needs of displaced persons and improving their living conditions. They support the integration of Armenia into the European energy market and diversification of energy sources. Trade and socio-economic connectivity will be enhanced, with an emphasis on energy security and infrastructure development. The EU and US will provide comprehensive assistance for vulnerable groups and refugees, promote employment opportunities, and foster social inclusion. Cooperation will focus on education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth. Armenia will benefit from trade preferences and increased access to European markets. The overall objective is to promote sustainable democracy, the rule of law, and socio-economic integration in Armenia.
