“Government Takes Significant Steps to Enhance Probation Services and Public Safety”

The government is taking steps to improve the Probation Service, ensuring transparency, public safety, crime prevention, and reducing recidivism. The Ministry of Justice will develop a program for the organization and activities of the Probation Service. There have been discussions about including probation in the regulation for public service. Additional budget allocations and a proposed tax on probation are being considered to improve infrastructure and increase probation officers’ salaries. The draft law has been positively assessed by the Constitutional Law Committee.
