Yerevan Municipality Council’s Ambitious Water Supply Project Well Underway: Mayor Emphasizes Water Security and Sustainable Management

Expansion, improvement, and modernization activities in the water supply system are divided into three phases. The mayor of Yerevan, Armen Begoyan, highlights the importance of the “Water security and sustainable management” program. Construction of water infrastructure is underway, and irrigation works have led to the planting of trees and shrubs. Groundwater levels in the capital have increased significantly, and 11,391 saplings will be given to vulnerable families as social assistance.
