“Rights Defenders Expose Shocking Violations and Mistreatment in Armenian Court Detention Facilities”

Unannounced inspections revealed mistreatment of human rights defenders in Armenia. Deficiencies in detention facilities, including lack of power, light, water, and inadequate equipment, were found. Detainees reported damaged belongings and inappropriate behavior during transportation. The state has a responsibility to protect detainees’ rights and ensure proper conditions. Actions will be taken to address the issues and provide recommendations to the authorities.
