Armenia to Establish 46 State-of-the-Art High-Tech Schools Ensuring Student Safety by 2027

Armenia plans to establish 46 high-tech schools with high-level security by 2027. The “Safe Seismic Program” aims to ensure the safety of 22.5k students and includes new seismic construction norms and certification systems. 16 schools are already operational, with 20 under construction. The program’s $107m budget, with $88.5m in loans, is nearing completion. By 2024, 7 schools will be finished, and construction of another 10 will begin later. 80% of the funds have been spent, with all 46 schools set to be operational by 2027.
