“Armenia Introduces New System for Transparent and Efficient Evaluation of Judges in Fight Against Corruption”
President of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia, Karen Andreasyan, met with Maxim Longange from the European Court of Justice to present a new system for evaluating judges. The system aims to eliminate corruption and promote impartial justice. Both parties expressed their readiness to support and assist in its implementation, as well as discuss combating systemic corruption in the judiciary. Continuous dialogue is seen as key to advancing negotiation and cooperation in the judicial field.

Judge Naira Hovsepyan’s travel has been hampered by air pollution, leading her and Karen Andreasyan to go on hunger strike. Despite attempts by PM’s wife, the situation remains unresolved and Judge Hovsepyan has sought release. Council of Judges will decide the outcome of her application on May 3rd.
