“Unifying Against Division: Xi Jinping and Ma Ying-jeou Denounce Any Power That Can Split China and Taiwan”

Xi Jinping, President of China, emphasized unity between mainland China and Taiwan during a meeting with former Taiwanese Prime Minister Ma Ying-jeou. “Both sides’ compatriots can resolve conflicts and discuss any question. No power can divide us,” he said. The meeting was broadcasted by Taiwanese TVBS television and took place in Singapore. Ying-jeou’s visit to China will conclude on April 11.
