Government Increases Import Duties on Goods from Russia and Belarus to Discourage Dumping and Reduce Imports

Starting from July 1, the government will increase import duties on goods from Russia and Belarus to discourage dumping into the European market. The goods will not be distributed to third countries via Armenia. The aim is to protect the market for agricultural products, pesticides, and industrial goods produced in Russia and Belarus. Imports from various countries, including China, are significantly cheaper than European prices. This measure also aims to restrict Russia’s interests and promote the expansion of Ukrainian pesticide goods in Armenia.
