“Armenia’s National Assembly Approves Government’s Defense Program for 2023, Strengthening Security Measures”
The progress of Armenia’s defense program (2021-2026) was discussed and approved by the National Assembly’s standing committee on defense and security issues. The focus is on strengthening military, border, public service, and public order security. The implementation will be carried out by regional governments. Border security measures include modern equipment and around 630 vehicles. The meeting also covered improvements in payment increase mechanisms for military personnel and positive impacts on national consciousness. Other topics included firefighting service and management of migratory processes.
Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Security Takes Action on Security Breaches: Employees Disciplined
The Armenian parliamentary committee on defense and security, chaired by Lt. Gen. Vaginak Martirosyan, reviewed an operational investigation regarding security breaches. Action, including warnings and release from duty, will be taken for employees involved.
