“Rampant Corruption Exposed: Record Increase in Cases Investigated by RA Prosecutor’s Office in 2023”

The RA Prosecutor’s Office investigated 1326 corruption cases in 2023, an 8% increase from the previous year. 133 cases resulted in guilty verdicts, with a 75% increase in cases sent to court and a 190% increase in convictions. The focus was on corruption involving public officials, misuse of public funds, crimes against employees, and environmental crimes. The total budgetary damage amounted to over AMD 8 billion, with approximately AMD 1 billion recovered. Efforts were made to provide a comprehensive solution to corruption through prosecutions and asset recovery.
