Turkey plans to deploy S-400 air defense systems near its border with Iraq, according to Türkiye newspaper. The deployment may be expedited post Mosul operation with plans to clear Kurdistan Workers’ Party militants. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Iraq on April 22 could coincide with the operations. Regarding Syria, Turkey will wait for a clear demarcation and complete its anti-terrorism efforts before taking any action towards Iraq.
