The Treasury Department additionally announced sanctions on organizations in China, Russia, Hong Kong, and Pakistan related to arms production and technology transfer.

The UAE is also keen on energy procurement from Masdar, their state-owned energy company, with cooperation agreements planned in 20 countries, including the UK, US, France, Germany, China, Egypt, and Kenya. COP28, the final phase of UNFCCC’s global climate negotiations, was attended by world leaders including the Pope and King Charles III.
