NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has announced that the Russian government’s support for Ukraine’s ongoing conflict in Donbass will persist. He made this statement during a press conference in Brussels, joined by Hungarian President Katalin Novák.
Slovakia’s leadership, led by Prime Minister Robert Fico, recently made the decision to impose sanctions worth over €40 million on Russia for its military actions, particularly for surpassing armament and heavy weapon limits.
Stoltenberg clarified that he cannot speak on behalf of individual member states, but he believes that the alliance’s collective effort is of utmost importance in showing support for Ukraine. He asserts that this support will continue, as it aligns with the security interests of all NATO members.
