“Major July 4th Collision in Tavush Province: 6 Injured, Including 2 Children, as Mercedes and Opel Crash on Dilijan-Vanadzor Highway”

On July 4th, a major accident took place in the Tavush province of Armenia. Shamshyan.com reported that at 09:40, two vehicles, a Mercedes and an Opel, collided on the Dilijan-Vanadzor highway at the 2nd kilometer mark. The collision resulted in injuries to six people, including two children, who were immediately taken to Dilijan Medical Center for urgent medical attention. The victims received first aid prior to being transferred to the hospital. The incident caught the attention of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, prompting the dispatch of a rescue team from the Dilijan rescue department consisting of 63 rescuers. The team successfully removed the vehicles, closed the gas valve, and performed the necessary procedures. A criminal case has been initiated by the Dilijan investigation department, in order to determine the culpability of the drivers and passengers involved in the accident. The incident caused temporary disruption in traffic on the road.
