Breaking News: Emergency Service Announces Closed Roads in Armenia, Urges Alternative Routes
The emergency service in the Republic of Armenia has reported that there are currently closed roads within the territory. Specifically, the Vanaadzor-Alaverdi-Ayrum-Bagratachen road is only accessible for heavy vehicles. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route using the M-6 highway when heading towards the border with Georgia. This route includes passing through the M-3 Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-RA border and the M-1 Yerevan-Gyumri-RA border via the central highway. Additionally, the M-4 section from Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan-RA border is generally passable but with certain restricted areas. One such closed road is the one connecting the villages of Khach’tarak and Lusahovit, with an alternative route being the Ijevan-Lusahovit-Khach’tarak road (the asphalt road).
