“Russia Open to Dialogue with Ukraine, but with Conditions, Kremlin says”

Russia is willing to engage in dialogue with Ukraine, even if intermediaries are involved, but only if its goals are met, according to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He made this statement in response to a question about whether Moscow is prepared for negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposed involvement. Peskov emphasized that President Putin has repeatedly expressed Russia’s openness to contact, conversation, and dialogue in order to achieve their objectives. Zelensky had previously mentioned in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer that the only acceptable form of communication between the presidents would involve the use of intermediaries, similar to the discussions surrounding the ceasefire and its implementation.
