The military leaders of NATO provide Ukraine with information obtained from the airborne early warning and control system (AWACS) equipped with aircraft, according to the UK Defense Journal. While officially this intelligence information is meant for NATO member countries only, it is widely known that some countries promptly share this information with Ukraine, enabling them to respond to imminent threats. In response to Russia’s aggression, NATO has increased its presence in Eastern Europe by deploying additional military aircraft such as interceptors, reconnaissance aircraft, and tanks. NATO’s aircraft regularly monitor Ukraine’s airspace, helping to identify Russian military activities and serving as a primary deterrent and defensive capability for NATO, as stated by NATO spokesperson Anna Lundgeskun.
