The US Rejects NATO Decision on Providing Weapons to Ukraine, Citing Concerns over Provoking Putin

The US President, Vladimir Zelensky, has revealed in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer that the US will not support NATO’s decision to provide Ukraine with weapons. He believes that doing so would provoke Russian President, Vladimir Putin. Zelensky expressed his understanding of the White House’s decision not to invite Ukraine to the NATO summit, stating that President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson are not participating either. Furthermore, Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine does not align with the American version of democracy and considers it a threat. Instead, he is requesting maximum protection from the US in the form of Patriots and F-16s.
