“Breaking Borders: Hungary’s Orban Forms Controversial Alliance with Austria’s Far-Right and Czech Anti-Immigrant Party”

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban has announced that he will establish a new alliance with Austria’s far-right Freedom Party and the anti-immigrant Czech Republic’s former Prime Minister Andrej Babis’s ANO party, according to Euronews.

Orban recently visited Vienna to receive the presidency of the European Union for a month. He announced the new alliance with the right-wing “Alliance for a Free Homeland” of Herbert Kickl and the “Freedom and Direct Democracy” of the former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrzej Babis’s ANO party.

The elections in June revealed the positions of right-wing parties in the European Parliament, and the results varied in different countries. However, it is still unclear how they will be able to work together.

Until now, these parties have been represented by two separate groups in the EU, as well as numerous unaffiliated parties.
