According to the laws of the Republic of Armenia, people are being compelled to hand over their identification cards, which ultimately helps Azerbaijan. The exact amount of money being transferred is unknown, as funds are entering Armenia through Azerbaijani transfers, and it’s also possible for Armenians to transfer money to support their homeland. Danielian highlights that the new buildings in Shurnukh will only secure Armenia’s sovereignty if security challenges are addressed, given that countless similar buildings were also relinquished in Artsakh.
