On June 29, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II, met with the leadership and medical staff of the “Izmirlian” Medical Center. The team was led by Prof. Armen Charchyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chief Physician, and Rev. Fr. Boghos Torgomian, the spiritual director of the center. The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin shared this information from the medical center’s informational center. In his meeting, His Holiness commended the medical personnel for their dedication to the well-being and healthcare of the people. He expressed gratitude for their scientific advancements and knowledge, which contribute to solving complex medical cases. Catholicos Karekin II stressed the importance of the Church’s role in providing physical healthcare as part of its spiritual mission. He emphasized that good health enhances quality of life and enables the fulfillment of good deeds. Regarding the “Izmirlian” Medical Center, Catholicos Karekin II recognized its responsibility as the medical center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. He called upon the staff to serve the nation with greater dedication and commitment. Lastly, Catholicos Karekin II encouraged the doctors to continue their noble mission with the support and participation of the faithful in service to God’s assistance and promotion.
