“Yeremyan Projeqts’ Water-drinking World Record Dedicated to Economy Ministry Sparks Controversy”

The newspaper “Zhoghovurd” reported that on June 1, the “Yeremyan Projects” organized a competition-event in the “Sisainz” park. During the course of one hour, 6,000 people participated in a challenge to drink a glass of water in order to set a Guinness world record. The event was attended by bloggers and singer Karo Ayvazyan, who also performed a musical program. It seems that the participants were not only there to drink water or support the “Yeremyan Projects,” but also to show their support for their favorite bloggers. Our questions with the participants revealed this sentiment.

However, it is important to note that the “Yeremyan Projects” organized this competition-event to honor a beloved blogger, with a large number of people attending. The victory was dedicated to the economy ministry. As previously reported, Davit Yeremyan, the founder of “Yeremyan Projects,” met with the prime minister’s advisor Gagik Pahoyan on June 24 and presented him with a certificate acknowledging the Guinness world record for water consumption using Ginessy international record.

Therefore, the “Yeremyan Projects” did not arrange the event solely for themselves, but rather to celebrate and recognize the achievements of Karo Ayvazyan. They conducted this unconventional action to gain recognition.

However, the public will ultimately judge the fairness of the event.

The “Joghovurd” newspaper also asked Anahit Gevorgyan, the PR director of “Yeremyan Projects,” why the certificate was dedicated to the economy ministry. Finally, she explained, “The record belongs to the country, and we dedicate it to the economy ministry. In our previous event, we dedicated the record to Yerevan and the municipality. Therefore, it would be incorrect to assume that we keep the record; we dedicate it to the country.”

But why didn’t they dedicate it to Karo Ayvazyan, for whom children gathered to drink water?
