“Unity Advisory Board Expresses Discontent with Armenian Authorities over Artsakh Crisis”

The “Unity” advisory board, a non-partisan civic movement for political change, expressed dissatisfaction with the authorities of the Republic of Armenia on June 12, 2024. Members of the movement from Artsakh, our compatriots who were displaced from there, sent a statement to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the President of the RA. The statement was a response to the medical findings regarding violent violations by representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan against the displaced people from Artsakh. These individuals have been tortured, killed, and expelled from their homes in Artsakh. The statement also pointed out the failure of those who claim to be defenders and supporters of Artsakh. Despite their claims, they have not used force or taken action to protect the people of Artsakh. They have also failed to acknowledge the part of Azerbaijan that has invaded Artsakh and have not provided proper assistance to the 120,000 displaced residents. Furthermore, they have not organized planned assistance or provided temporary shelter to those in need. The failure to transfer the millions of dollars received from other countries to this cause is also notable. Additionally, they have not delivered a message advocating for a non-violent return to Artsakh, failed to establish the Armenian administration, neglected the protection of officials, failed to conduct investigations into the heinous crimes committed, and failed to bring the participants to justice.
