“Rain, Thunderstorms, and Hail: Armenia Braces for Severe Weather”
In the regions of Armenia, rain and thunderstorms are expected from June 29 onwards, particularly in the afternoon. Some areas may even experience hail. During these thunderstorms, strong winds with speeds ranging from 18-23 m/s can be anticipated, primarily in the north-west.
According to the Hydrometeorological Center as reported by NEWS.am, Yerevan can expect brief periods of rain and thunderstorms during the evening hours, with wind speeds reaching 16-20 m/s. The temperature in the evening will be around +15 to +17 degrees Celsius, dropping to +28 to +30 degrees Celsius overnight.
Temperatures in other provinces are as follows:
- Shirak: +6 to +11 degrees Celsius in the evening, +20 to +25 degrees Celsius at night.
- Kotayk Mountains: +6 to +10 degrees Celsius in the evening, +18 to +21 degrees Celsius at night.
- Kotayk Foothills: +13 to +15 degrees Celsius in the evening, +25 to +28 degrees Celsius at night.
- Sevan Lake: On the coast, +8 to +11 degrees Celsius in the evening, +16 to +20 degrees Celsius at night.
- Lori: +7 to +12 degrees Celsius in the evening, +16 to +20 degrees Celsius at night.
- Tavush: +11 to +16 degrees Celsius in the evening, +20 to +24 degrees Celsius at night.
- Ararat Mountains: +6 to +11 degrees Celsius in the evening, +18 to +21 degrees Celsius at night.
- Ararat Foothills: +13 to +16 degrees Celsius in the evening, +24 to +29 degrees Celsius at night.
- Ararat: +16 to +18 degrees Celsius in the evening, +30 to +32 degrees Celsius at night.
- Armavir: +14 to +16 degrees Celsius in the evening, +30 to +32 degrees Celsius at night.
- Vayots Dzor Mountains: +8 to +10 degrees Celsius in the evening, +19 to +21 degrees Celsius at night.
- Vayots Dzor Foothills: +16 to +18 degrees Celsius in the evening, +29 to +32 degrees Celsius at night.
- Syunik Plains: +19 to +21 degrees Celsius in the evening, +22 to +25 degrees Celsius at night.
- Syunik Mountains: +12 to +14 degrees Celsius in the evening, +15 to +18 degrees Celsius at night.
