The national broadcaster has announced a competition for the position of executive director at the closed department of the “Armenian National Radio Broadcasting” state-owned company. Candidates interested in leading the national broadcaster’s staff must submit their documents by July 15, 2024. The results of the competition will be announced on July 29, 2024. The executive director of the closed department was dismissed during a board meeting on June 5, as part of the company’s reorganization. However, none of the participants in the competition received enough votes to be declared the winner.

In an interview with the “Zhamanak” newspaper, the executive director of the national radio, Garik Khumaryan, discussed the current situation in the country. Khumaryan urged the audience to understand the crisis in the region, providing examples of the challenges they face. In an effort to gain a scientific opinion on the executive director’s activities, the national broadcaster sought the Examination Body of the Armenian Etiquette at the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

The following individuals have expressed their intention to participate in the competition for the executive director position at the closed department of the “Armenian National Radio Broadcasting” state-owned company: Hovhannisyan Béla Hrachik, Manukyan Mariam Volodia, and Margaryan Mher Martiros.
