The European Union (EU) delegation in Armenia has issued a statement criticizing the country for infringing upon the rights of foreign activists. The EU expressed concern over Armenia’s law on foreign agents, stating that it not only damages the country’s reputation but also contradicts the EU’s proposals. The EU emphasized the need for Armenian authorities to provide clarification on their positions and urged them to alter their current course of action, which is pushing Armenia further away from the EU and hindering the activities of civil society.
