“New Amendments Enable Continuation of Service for Armenian Armed Forces in National Security Bodies, Including Former Artsakh Defense Army Servicemen”
The government has introduced amendments to the “Law on Military Service in the Bodies of National Security” in today’s session, held on June 27. These amendments allow individuals serving in the Armenian Armed Forces to continue their service in the bodies of the National Security of the Republic of Armenia, provided they meet the necessary requirements for the position.
Even former servicemen of the Defense Army of Artsakh, who have reached the age limit, will have the opportunity to join the Armenian Armed Forces as new recruits, with titles and ranks corresponding to their positions in the Defense Army of Artsakh.
Additionally, a temporary re-registration process will be conducted to ensure that servicemen can continue their service in the authorized body.
