“Israeli Prime Minister Approves Resumption of Iranian Military Program Study: Mossad and Shabak Intelligence Agencies Reopen Discussions”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given the go-ahead for the resumption of the Iranian military program’s study by Israeli experts, according to sources. It appears that the divisions had halted their development activities due to political tensions within Israel and the military operation in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu has instructed his national security adviser to coordinate the work of the experts. One group is led by a top official from the intelligence agency, Mossad, who is engaged in discussions on the Iranian military program, particularly its potential military component. The other group, from the Israeli General Security Service, is responsible for studying Iranian domestic extremism, cyber defense, and the activities of various groups in the region. The formation of these groups was prompted by discussions between the United States and Israel regarding the extension of the Tehran nuclear program. Sources suggest that Iran may exploit the opportunity to pursue military advancements once the transit zone opens up in November 2024. The US administration, like its predecessors, believes that Iran has no intentions of developing a military program.
