“Armenia Calls for Ceasefire in Russian-Ukrainian Conflict, Stresses Support for Peace and Territorial Integrity”

Armenia stands firmly against the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war and is committed to promoting peace, stability, and the territorial integrity of countries. Today, on June 27, during a meeting with Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsakhnakyan, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan made an important announcement. He stated that Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively seeking ways to contribute to the peace process between Russia and Ukraine, and one of the steps taken is to call for an immediate ceasefire. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is directly affected by the war, witnessing the suffering of the urban population and the destruction of civilian infrastructure. As a nation that has also experienced tragedy in its own region, Armenia firmly believes that war is a terrible thing and firmly opposes it. The Minister also reiterated Armenia’s support for the territorial integrity of all states and urged countries involved to halt the military actions.
