Armenia and Estonia Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation in Various Fields: Prime Minister Emphasizes Digital Solutions and Defense Industry Potential

It is true that this year we had our second meeting with Estonia, but we have also been in constant contact in recent months and have had several phone conversations. I must note with gratitude that the cooperation between Armenia and Estonia is developing not only in political dialogue but also in other fields. Today, on June 27, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, met with the Speaker of the Estonian Parliament in Estonia.

“During the previous meeting, as well as now, we had the opportunity to discuss and coordinate our positions on various issues, as well as cooperation in other areas. With gratitude, I must mention that we have been able to build a more solid political dialogue and partnership based on shared values and common interests, which is more stable and secure for our countries. In order to deepen the bilateral relations, it is necessary to expand the scope of cooperation beyond political dialogue and investments. In this regard, we have great potential in the field of high technology, which is the hallmark of both Armenia and Estonia. On the one hand, Estonia’s advanced digital solutions in the fields of e-governance, digitization, innovation, and cybersecurity, and on the other hand, our capabilities in the field of defense industry and the creation of an ideal environment contribute to the development of effective cooperation,” said the Prime Minister of Armenia.

He emphasized that besides bilateral cooperation, the parties have also made significant progress in multilateral formats, where Armenia and Estonia have extensive cooperation, including the implementation of mutually agreed commitments, including the advancement of Armenia’s integration into the European Economic Area and the modernization of security and defense capabilities. This also contributes to the development of education, culture, energy, and other areas of our bilateral cooperation.

“We also highly appreciate the further development of our cooperation in promoting mutual understanding and trust between our countries and peoples,” added Mirzoyan.

“We are actively working here to develop cooperation within the framework of the European Union, where we have a wide range of cooperation, including the implementation of agreed commitments, including the advancement of Armenia’s integration into the European Economic Area and the full freedom of visas,” said Mirzoyan. We hope that with joint efforts, we will soon reach new important agreements,” said Ararat Mirzoyan.
