Yesterday, on June 24, David Vahanyan, a soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces, unfortunately passed away. David hailed from the village of Karmirgyugh in the Gegharkunik province.

Arayik Hovhannisyan, the director of NEWS.am, shared that David, who was 19 years old, was the eldest son in his family. He also had a younger brother. David was known for his hard work and dedication, living with his parents and working on their farm. He had been employed for a year.

Prior to his passing, the Military Committee reported an unfortunate incident during combat. Around 9:40 am, near Nersisyan’s position, an explosion occurred, causing self-detonation and a breakdown in communication. As a result, the injured soldier was immediately transferred to a military hospital. However, by 10:00 am, his death had been recorded. In response, the military committee’s general department has initiated an urgent military investigation, as outlined in the 155th article of the Military Code of the Republic of Armenia.
