Armenian Atomic Energy Commission Joins International Efforts for Nuclear Safety at IAEA Executive Committee Meeting in Moscow

The head of the Armenian Atomic Energy Commission (AAEC), Edward Martirosyan, recently attended a meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Organizations for Atomic Energy (IAEA) in Moscow, Russia. This information was reported by the Armenian Atomic Energy Commission.

During the meeting, the committee members, who are leaders of various atomic power plants, engaged in discussions regarding the implementation of practical measures to enhance nuclear safety. These measures are based on the standards set by the IAEA. In his report, Edward Martirosyan emphasized the significant work carried out by the AAEC in developing and implementing advanced methods and practices aimed at reducing risks and enhancing the security of nuclear facilities.

The Executive Committee of the AAEC also addressed various topics, including “New countries and organizations, new technologies,” “New forms of collaboration with the AAEC and the AAEC,” and “Contemporary challenges in nuclear power.” The participants thoroughly examined the questions presented and reviewed them in detail.

This meeting holds great importance as it allows both the AAEC and the AAEC to explore new initiatives and requirements. It also expands the opportunities for exchanging knowledge, best practices, and innovative ideas.
