Armenian Ambassador to EU raises alarm over excessive force used by Armenian authorities during protests

The Armenian Ambassador to the European Union, Hayk Mamijanyan, has raised concerns about the excessive use of force and other matters by the Armenian authorities in response to the June 12 protests. In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Mamijanyan expressed his hope that European institutions will give greater attention to the ongoing human rights violations in Armenia, while congratulating the EDPA on their triumph in the European elections.

The Ambassador’s message highlights the need for continued scrutiny and action to address human rights concerns in Armenia. By bringing attention to these issues, he aims to ensure that the international community remains informed and engaged in promoting and protecting human rights in the country. Such diplomatic efforts are crucial in holding authorities accountable and working towards positive change.
