Armenia and Mexico Explore Agricultural and Technological Cooperation for Trade Expansion

Cooperation in agriculture, rural development, and technology can help enhance trade and economic relations between Armenia and Mexico. This viewpoint was expressed by György Papoyan, the Minister of Economy of Armenia, during his meeting with Khose Ricardo Goyardo Cardona, the head of the procurement department of San Luis Potosi in Mexico, on June 24.

According to data provided by the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the trade turnover between Armenia and Mexico was $2.3 million during the period of January-December 2023. Papoyan believes there is untapped potential in this area that needs to be explored and utilized.

The minister emphasized the significance of bilateral cooperation in expanding collaboration in remote areas, IT, and news media.

Papoyan also introduced the country’s investment platform and discussed the “Road to Decent Work” program. This program, implemented by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, aims to create favorable conditions for prosperity and stability not only in Armenia but also in neighboring countries.
