“Alarming Allegations and Impending Arrests: Government Crackdown on Journalists Rattles the News Industry”

Recently, there have been claims that colleagues are being arrested without any wrongdoing, suggesting a government crackdown. In an interview with NEWS.am, Vahagn Aleksanyan, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the ANC, discussed the possibility of his own arrest and the potential replacement of city leaders in Artsakh.

“Something is happening, and we have heard rumors about who is involved and what they are doing. In Armenia, people have allegedly been paid to participate in demonstrations. This is a political maneuver, and those responsible should face political assessment and appropriate punishment. The government of Artsakh is attempting to provide maximum support,” said Vahagn Aleksanyan.

The discussion also touched upon the housing assistance program for Artsakh Armenians and the construction of several buildings in the Republic of Armenia. Vahagn Aleksanyan mentioned the construction of multi-storey buildings by former leaders of the NKR, stating that it is a normal occurrence.
