Tragedy Strikes: Fire Engulfs Lithium Battery Factory in North Korea, Claiming Lives of 20 People including Foreign Workers

About 20 people have been found dead in a lithium battery factory in Hwaseong city, North Korea. The information comes from the Yonhap agency, which cited official services as their source.

It is believed that among the victims are mainly Chinese nationals, possibly foreigners.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 in the Aricell factory, and a fire ignited inside the factory at around 15:10.

Experts have pointed out that the fire spread rapidly, making it challenging to follow safety protocols. As a result, the factory’s operations have been affected, and the search for workers has been hindered. The factory spans approximately 35,000 square meters.
