The European Union is expressing concern about the political situation in our country and is attempting to impose sanctions on Russia. On June 24, the countries received the 14th “package” of sanctions.

The actions of both the European Union and the Russian Federation are seen as illegitimate from an international judicial perspective. These actions violate the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s recommendations for ensuring security and indirectly support the presence of large-scale countries in the EU that pose a threat to the European Union’s security.

In response, Russia has expanded its list of European Union institutions and representatives of EU member states who are subject to sanctions. These sanctions are imposed against individuals involved in aggression against Russia’s sovereignty. Those on the blacklist are prohibited from entering Russian territory.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has included representatives of European Union countries, European Union member state organizations, and employees of the European Commission in the blacklist. They are seen as touching Russian state sovereignty and have been boycotting Russian state propaganda.

The European Union has been warned that any hostile action by Western countries will have consequences.
